• The Carrot Stick is a fundamental product in the Parelli Program. It acts as an extension of your arm in the saddle and on the ground, giving you a more extended reach for closer communication. It is not a whip. You can stroke, guide, and support your horse while teaching him the Parelli Fundamentals. It is especially valuable on your journey to bridle-less riding.
• The Savvy String is the little 6-foot string Pat keeps in his back pocket. Because of his martial arts background, Pat came up with the concept of awarding people specific color strings for their achievement in his Horse-man-ship Levels program. Everyone starts in the Parelli Program with a white string, and as you achieve a level, you are awarded a special colored string. Red for Level 1, Blue for Level 2, Green for Level 3, and Black for Level 4.
• The Parelli Horseman’s Halter is different than any other halter on the market. As Pat traveled worldwide, he used that time years ago to tie the halters himself on the way to clinics to perfect the design. Today Parelli halters are still hand-tied using smooth yachting braid with simple knots that strategically balance on the horse's head.
• The Parelli 12-foot Training Rope is perfect for playing the seven games. It is also perfect for an everyday, all-purpose lead rope and training line for developing your feel and your horse's responsiveness and connection. It is easy to hold and glides smoothly through your hands when you need to give your horse more drift.

The 100% polyester rope used at Parelli has been specifically engineered with horsemanship use in mind. Parelli rope is dirt, sweat, mildew, rot and UV resistant. This means that your rope will stay truer to its original form longer, without fading, stretching, popping or elongating. The rope you usually see used for halters and leads is typically nylon yachting rope and was never designed to withstand the unique challenges an equine application presents. Nylon rope stretches, can become stiff with use, increases in size over time and absorbs unwanted moisture.
No metal, even to finish the halter; the ends are melted.
Leather poppers on each product with Parelli stamp. Designed so when you drop them on the ground they no longer look like a halter, they collapse into a pile of rope. What makes this unique and functional is that because our halter folds up on itself when dropped it prevents a horse from catching a foot in it or otherwise becoming tangled.
Many of our customers have owned their halters for 20 years or more without any breakage or dry rot.

Are you a fan of the Parelli 7 Games? Yes, we are too!
The Parelli 12-foot Training Rope is perfect for playing the seven games. It is also perfect for an everyday, all-purpose lead rope and training line for developing your feel and your horse's responsiveness and connection.
It is easy to hold and glides smoothly through your hands when you need to give your horse more drift.
More Info
Pat was inspired by Tom Dorrance's advice that horses need to be able to drift and teeter. During groundwork, your horse needs to be able to move out a bit and have enough room to turn and face you, get control, and then come back.
For this reason, you should choose a rope that moves through your hands smoothly to avoid jerking your horse. The Parelli rope is smooth, slightly forgiving, and will flow through your hands as your horse needs additional space.
Instead of dragging your horse from point A to point B, our ropes will allow for drift and teeter. This is because of the material they are made of, the weighted snap, and the length.
Safety Point to Ponder:
A horse should never be left alone with only a halter on. The halter will not break if it catches on something.
The Carrot Stick acts as an extension of your arm both in the saddle and on the ground, providing you with a longer reach for closer communication. It is not a whip. You can stroke, guide, and support your horse while teaching him the Parelli Fundamentals. It is especially valuable on your journey to bridle-less riding.

A special molded grip featuring a modern scroll design and the Parelli logo. This ‘Golf Grip’ handle is a Parelli custom design, and is easy to turn in hand and for active use.
The leather loop end is traditional, the leather lasts longer and the string tends to swing better. It is perfect for attaching your savvy string or a flag.
4-Foot long non-flex fiberglass shaft with a solid core gives flexibility and strength. If the stick were hollow it could bend or shatter. This flexibility results in a firm pressure but not sting when used correctly.
4 feet is the approximate length of the horse’s leg on the ground which a good safety measurement to stay out of the kick zone.
4 feet is also the approximate length of the horse’s neck, which makes it a great tool for control and safety when playing OnLine or riding FreeStyle.
The extra 4 feet transforms your tall body into a long body so you can effectively communicate with your horse.
There is also a shorter and lighter version of the Savvy Stick, it’s called the Small Stick. It’s the perfect size for riding, and also for kids!
Halfter
The Parelli Horseman's Halter is different than any other halter on the market. Pat perfected the design and used to tie them himself on the way to clinics (someone else was driving of course!) Today Parelli halters are still hand-tied using smooth yachting braid (which is almost unbreakable) with simple knots that strategically balance on your horse's head.

12 Foot Rope
Pat's training line is way more than a lead rope. Being 12 feet long it gives you the ability to direct and support your horse from the ground and stay a safe distance away. The average lead rope is 7 feet long. The additional 5 feet that is on your training line gives you more safety and control while allowing your horse to also feel safe by allowing him to drift when he is unconfident.
